Oil of the week: Grapefruit


GRAPEFRUIT


Grapefruit has been referred to as a “forbidden fruit” and one of the “Seven Wonders of Barbados.” It is known for its energizing and invigorating aroma.

Benefits:

Improves the appearance of blemishes so great for the skin

Helps support a healthy metabolism

Uplifts the mood

Renowned for its cleansing and purifying properties

Appetite suppressant

Uses:

Add to your facial routine to improve the appearance of blemishes**

**Avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying to the skin Directions;

Diffuse while dieting to trying to lose weight to increase motivation

Add 1-2 drops to your water for great taste and helps support healthy metabolism


Directions:

Diffusion:

3-4 drops to your diffuser.

Internal:

Dilute 1 drop in 4 fl. oz. of water/liquid

Topical:

Apply 1-2 drops to desired area. Dilute with a carrier oil to minimize any skin sensitivity.

Because Grapefruit oil has many of the same properties as the other citrus oils it can be used in their place when immediate exposure in the sun is unavoidable.

Neat – undiluted but always check to be sure you don’t have any skin sensitivities

Dilute with children, infants and elderly
